And after all these years ministering to the community, both Sisters Dorothy and Joseph feel like it is time to move on. But these sisters’ retirement does not mean the Sisters of Providence will no longer be serving their neighbors in need.

Sister Leslie Dao is officially a novice with the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods! Sister Leslie entered the novitiate on Aug. 14, 2022 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. During the next year, Sister Leslie will study Scripture, Congregation and Church history, and develop a deeper connection to God, her community and the world.

Come, Leslie. Come follow this path marked out by Providence

Sister Patty’s dedication, vows and sense of adventure in service has taken her in many directions since that day 70 years ago when she entered Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
