Guerin Prep High School
Guerin Prep High School was a Catholic, co-educational and college preparatory high school serving the northwest side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs through the completion of the 2019-20 school year.
Formerly Mother Theodore Guerin High School (MTGHS), the school was founded in 1962 in River Grove, Illinois, to educate girls. In the fall of 2004, in response to a request from the Archdiocese of Chicago, a new chapter in Guerin history began when, with the closing of Holy Cross High School on property adjoining MTGHS, young men were welcomed to Guerin for the first time.
The name was changed to Guerin College Preparatory High School (Guerin Prep). Guerin Prep remained dedicated to developing the unique potential of its diverse student body through an extensive academic curriculum, excellent administrative and instructional staffs and through its Catholic faith, service and extracurricular programs until it closed.
