Sisters of Providence reflect on death with faith. Embracing uncertainty, they let go of independence, accept support, and approach dying with gratitude, prayer, and a desire to grow in love.

Grounded in human dignity, the Providence Community responds to injustice through prayer, witness and advocacy. From Ash Wednesday gatherings to Good Friday actions, all are invited to discern what is theirs to do—and act with courage and compassion.

Providence Associates’ Spring Retreat gathered participants for reflection, fellowship, and prayer, inspired by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin. Through shared experiences, discussions, and pilgrimage, attendees deepened their faith, found renewed joy and peace, and discovered fresh insights into her enduring example.

A 1971 gathering of Catholic sisters sparked the creation of NETWORK, empowering women religious to advocate for justice through political action. From early organizing to initiatives like Nuns on the Bus, sisters—including Sister Emily TeKolste today—continue advancing systemic change.

Marking 20 years since Saint Mother Theodore Guerin’s canonization, celebrating her lasting impact through memorials and devotion. Looking ahead, encouraging efforts to expand her recognition, including adding her to the U.S. liturgical calendar.

At the dedication of Miracle Home’s new building in Taiwan, Sisters of Providence celebrated years of perseverance. Serving hundreds of elders and families, the ministry stands as a “miracle of love,” offering compassionate care, dignity and hope to the community.

Founded in the 1990s, White Violet Center for Eco-Justice grew from a vision of organic farming into a thriving ministry. Through sustainable practices, education and community programs, it continues promoting eco-justice, environmental stewardship and the interconnectedness of all life.

The Sisters of Providence prepare for their General Chapter, a five-year gathering guiding their mission and leadership. Through prayer, reflection and elections, delegates discern future direction and choose leaders, strengthening their commitment to service, community and shared purpose.
