Welcome to our features page. Here, we will share with you updates on what is currently happening within our Congregation. Feel free to take time to explore the area.

'It’s as simple as that. I love doing what I do.'

Our faith calls us to honor and respect all persons. We profess that Black Lives Matter. We know that all life is equally sacred.

We condemn this, as we denounce all forms of racial, ethnic and religious targeting, including threats of mass and individual violence; bigoted hate language; hate incidents; and hate crimes.

Catholic sisters remain committed to welcoming refugees seeking safety for themselves and their families.

We’re on the front lines of perhaps the biggest battle of our lives: climate change and the need to dramatically reduce carbon emissions by shifting energy generation from fossil fuels to renewables like solar and wind. Again, vested interests in the coal, oil and gas industries have undertaken major campaigns for decades now to preserve their industries.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the food system so I’ve chosen just one crop to follow, from seed to plate.

As women of faith, we are committed to it

As Sisters of Providence committed to living in right relationship, we acknowledge our own complicity in structural and institutional racism

We encourage all of you to sign the statement as well.

It wasn’t until late 2018 when something shifted for me. The thought of being a religious sister changed from unthinkable to an invitation worth considering.

Mother Theodore had to stay in charge and oversee everyone else. A true “mother.” And on top of all that the bishop keeps causing problem after problem. All of this is compounded by Mother Theodore’s chronic poor health that leaves her ill or weak much of the time.

'As the Sisters say, it was Providence!'
