The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods welcomed a new postulant, Stephanie Rivas of Chicago, to the Congregation on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023 at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana. We are excited to welcome Stephanie into our community and our hearts.

We reflect on our need to be ecologically converted

Though the scriptures are filled with reminders that, “God is near,” it often doesn’t feel that way to most of us humans. God can seem awfully quiet sometimes. And I might wonder about my own need for hearing aids when it comes to God.

Thus began our French pilgrimage of Sisters of Providence, Providence Assoicates and friends called “In the Footsteps of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.” I’d like to share with you a snapshot of our destinations.

Returning to school can be both stressful and something of a relief
