Scenes from the profession of Perpetual Vows

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Sister Jessica Vitente professed perpetual vows as a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.

The Pomona, California, native entered the Congregation as a postulant on September 10, 2018. She received the title of Sister on August 3, 2019 and professed first vows in 2021.

In May 2026, Sister Jessica earned a master’s degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola University. She will soon begin a ministry as an Associate Counselor at Beacon Pathway in Irvine, California.

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, are a congregation of Roman Catholic women religious (sisters) who minister throughout the United States and Taiwan. Saint Mother Theodore Guerin founded the Sisters of Providence in 1840. The congregation has a mission of being God's Providence in the world by committing to performing works of love, mercy and justice in service among God's people.
