Sisters to host Community Prayer and Rally June 24
Join the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and others for prayer and public witness from 10:30-11:15 a.m., on Tuesday, June 24, as they host “Sisters Speak Out: June 24 Community Prayer and Rally.”

The rally is one of several “echo events” which will take place nationwide on June 24. The events have been set up as a way for those whose faith compels them to stand and support those without a voice.
The local rally will take place outside of the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. In case of inclement weather, the rally will be moved into the lobby of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center.
People of all faith traditions are invited to join the Sisters of Providence during the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own signs of solidarity and peace to lift the voices of immigrants and those who are disenfranchised.
The “echo events” coincide with a larger rally taking place in Washington, D.C., where more than 40 Congregations of women religious will engage in prayer and public witness for immigrants and a just economy.
