Welcome to the newly redesigned HOPE magazine!

Our co-workers in the Mission Advancement Office have been hard at work on this refreshed look, which we hope will make your reading experience even more engaging and enjoyable as we continue to highlight our faithfulness to the mission of Providence.
Since its first distribution in the Fall of 2005, HOPE magazine has been dedicated to celebrating the mission, spirituality and ministries of the Sisters of Providence and sharing that with you, our cherished friends.

In this issue, we explore various forms of support and connection. You’ll discover how to find unity through listening and engaging in trusting dialogue and how to uncover common ground even amid conflict. We invite you to experience the peace offered by the sacred spaces at the Woods — spaces nurtured by our sisters, both present and past. As always, we provide practical guidance on deepening your spiritual life through prayer and spiritual direction.

We also highlight Sister Mary Mark Dede’s, SP, faith journey alongside her family’s deep devotion to God and celebrate Sister Dorothy Rasche’s, SP, recognition for her many years of service to the West Terre Haute community. Additionally, you’ll find an introduction to our new art studio, a space dedicated to fostering creativity and spiritual expression, brought to life through the creativity of Sister of Providence artist Sister Jody O’Neil and our co-workers in the facilities department here at the Woods.

It is your continued support and engagement that keeps the energy and spirit of Providence alive in our lives. We are grateful for your presence in our extended Providence community and hope that the stories in these pages and those to come will inspire and bring you joy.
