WVC to host Beginning Spinning

Join White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, for the upcoming “Beginning Spinning” workshop.

The workshop is scheduled to take place from 1-5 p.m., on Saturday, April 25, at White Violet Center.

Fiber artist John Salamone will show you how to spin your own yarn for crocheting, knitting, weaving and more by using sheep’s wool roving.

The class is designed for beginners and those who may want to brush up on their spinning skills.

The class includes all materials, use of spinning wheels and instruction. Participants are welcome to bring their own wheels and fibers as well.

Cost to attend the workshop is $75 and the registration deadline is Wednesday, April 22. There is a maximum amount of eight participants.
