Come out to the Fall Volunteer Open House
The Volunteer Services Department of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, will conduct an Open House from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and 2-6 p.m., EDT, on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Foley Room of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center.
The Open House is a great opportunity to learn about what volunteer opportunities we have to offer in a casual setting while enjoying some drinks and light snacks.
Volunteer opportunities range from working in the organic White Violet Center for Eco-Justice farm in the garden or with the alpacas and chickens, as well as administrative support/welcome desks, I.T. programming, store assistance at the White Violet Farm Store and Linden Leaf Gifts, visiting sisters and other healthcare residents, assisting in our Resource Center, Providence Food Pantry, researching and writing for our Mission Advancement Department, or many one-time events like Christmas Fun at the Woods, Earth Day, in addition to the bi-annual book sales.
Most volunteer opportunities take place during regular office hours, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Volunteer Services works with individuals and volunteer groups! Do you have a sports team, club or organization, work committee, bible study, or another group that would like to volunteer? We have many group opportunities year-round! The Sisters of Providence also host college alternative fall and spring break service trips.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, I will be available to answer any questions and help potential volunteers apply right there and then. The application process is quick and easy! Feel free to call or email with any questions about the Open House or volunteering at 812-535-2878 or email@example.com.
