Stepping forward to become a Sister of Providence
Postulant life was an experience that welcomed me to jump into a new lifestyle with both feet. The past ten months hsave been an opportunity to get to know myself a little more deeply. I have been able to work on areas of my life that I deeply desired to mold but never made a priority, such as my prayer life.

A Reflection for a Golden Jubilee
This Jubilee is as much about looking forward as it is about looking back.

A reflection for first vows
What we make of Saint Mother Theodore’s legacy will be our legacy – will we follow and not look back?

Saying yes to the vows
As I say “Yes!” to these great unknowns, I am excited to see the ways that Providence will draw these vows into my life. I’m excited to see the way they will shape me into my most authentic self. I’m excited to see what religious life will come to be as we navigate this time of transition.

Sisters preserving memories through memory books
Memory books detail and preserve aspects of a person’s life history with photographs, artifacts and narratives. They facilitate life-affirming interaction, encourage deep reflection and celebrate life events through story-telling and reminiscing. And they are effective in stimulating memories, especially for individuals living with dementia.

The ever-expanding community of Providence
This has had profound impact on our concept of community. We now embrace an understanding of Providence — of God’s design and desire for all of us — which helps us know that we are united with all that exists. That everything is connected.
