Sisters painting with Mike Sanders

Mike Sanders (SP employee with the IT dept.) is offering monthly painting classes for the sisters and the first class was held on Friday, March 29. Sisters learned how to step out of their comfort zone and use materials other than paint brushes to create their master pieces. They used materials like aluminum foil to paint their magnolia trees. Mike gave them good advice. He said, “their paintings were not considered finished until they signed them.”

I so agree with Mary Carroll!!! The arts: visual, performing and musical are life giving! It brings me joy to see SP being given opportunities like this. At 65, a new friend is teaching me to quilt and I love it!!
