She was also editor of the Florida Catholic diocesan newspaper. She returned to the Woods in 2008. Sister Luke was known to be quite the jokester and she loved dogs....

...with a beautiful singing voice, Sister Marie Brendan ministered as a music teacher. Her first teaching ministry was at St. Benedict in Terre Haute, Ind. She also ministered at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for 18 years, serving as professor of vocal music, director of the College Chorale, and founding director of the College Madrigals. Her later years were spent in pastoral ministry. She was known to fill the room with her voice during renditions of “Bless this House,” and “Danny Boy.”...
