For approximately two decades, she ministered as a teacher at schools in Illinois, Maryland, Indiana and California. In 1971, she began a ministry at Lourdes Infirmary and then obtained her LPN degree. For the next 20 years, she ministered in various capacities at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and the motherhouse. She returned to the Woods in 1984 and ministered as an administrative assistant while volunteering in the Archives Department. An avid sports fan, Sister Rosemary enjoyed the NCAA basketball tournament and taught tennis....

...and final vows on Jan. 23, 1949. Her teaching ministry of 47 years began in 1943 at Holy Trinity, New Albany, Indiana. She taught at other schools in Indiana, as well as schools in Indiana, Illinois and California. She also ministered as a retreat hostess at the Marywood Retreat Center, Diocese of Orange, California. She returned home to the Woods in 2005. Sister Joseph Patrice was a fan of the University of Notre Dame, known to having loved “Everything Irish.”...

She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and enjoyed visiting the Colts’ during summer camp at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology....

...She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and also has a master’s degree in education from Indiana University in Bloomington. Of her ministries, she taught at schools in Fort Wayne, Lafayette, Jasper and Indianapolis – all in Indiana – as well as at schools in Chicago and Van Nuys, California. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Sister Therese Clare said she was a huge fan of the mini “Heath” Blizzard from Dairy Queen....

...and prepare persons with developmental disabilities to participate in the liturgical life of the parish. Sister Susanne, formerly Sister James, entered the Congregation in 1957. She’s also been a teacher in Terre Haute, New Hampshire and Chicago. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and master’s degrees in religious education from Loyola University, Chicago, and special education from Northern Illinois University. Sister Susanne is a native of Chicago and a fan of the Chicago White Sox....

She was principal at Assumption School in Evansville and at St. Joseph School in Hammond, both in Indiana, and spent 20 years teaching at Maternity BVM in Chicago. She was also a founding member of the 8th Day Center for Justice, also located in Chicago. Her final ministry was in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She loved her Chicago White Sox, although she lived with Cubs’ fans....

...the Hesburgh Sabbatical Program and the Institute for Religious Formation held at Catholic Theological Union. She “retired” in 2016, but continued to volunteer at the Special Religious Development office in Chicago and also shares healing treatments at a wellness clinic in Elmwood Park, Illinois. Her current ministry is as a coordinator and practitioner for the Reiki Wellness Center in Elmwood Park. Sister Teresina said she loves to garden and is a die-hard Cubs fan. She also tinkers with the harmonica....

...as the Congregation Leader for Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters in Huntington, Indiana Prior to that, she ministered on the Congregation’s Leadership Team and as Vocations Director. She has also ministered as a teacher at North Central High School in Indianapolis, as well as Providence-St. Mel School in Chicago and Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. Sister Jenny also ministered on the Congregation’s Leadership Team from 1996 to 2001. She is known to be a fan of Simon and Garfunkel....

Currently, Sister James Michael ministers in outreach ministry. “I have lived by the words of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, ‘Love the children first, then teach them,’” Sister James Michael said. She is a fan of Notre Dame football and her favorite music is the Notre Dame Victory March. “It always brings on a smile and a cheer,” she said. Sister James Michael added her favorite food is pasta. Sister James Michael said she is left-handed...
