Sisters of Providence celebrate Silver, Golden Jubilees

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, celebrated two Sisters on Saturday, June 27, 2026, for their 25-year and 50-year Jubilees.

25-year Jubilarian

Sister Regina Gallo was born in Chicago. Currently, she ministers as an office assistant, bereavement minister and grief counselor at Ascension and St. Edmund parishes in Oak Park, Illinois.

Sister Regina entered the Congregation on September 13, 2001, from St. Celestine Parish in Elmwood Park, Illinois. She professed first vows on June 11, 2004, and perpetual vows on June 2026, 2011.

She has a bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry from Dominican University, located in River Forest, Illinois.

Her ministries include:

In Illinois: Chaplain/Spiritual Care Coordinator, Bethany Terrace Nursing-Rehabilitation and Terrace Gardens Assisted Living, Morton Grove (2008-11); Chaplain/Bereavement Counseling, Loyola Medicine Home Care and Hospice, Melrose Park (2013-17); Bereavement Counselor, Chicago area (2017-18); Hospice Chaplain Consultant/Grief Counselor, Chicago area (2018-19); Office Assistant/Pastoral Care, Ascension and St. Edmund Parishes, Oak Park (2023-25); Office Assistant/Bereavement Minister/Grief Counselor, Ascension and St. Edmund Parishes, Oak Park (2025-present).

50-year Jubilarian

Sister Rebecca “Becky” Keller was born in Monterey, Indiana. Currently, she ministers as Lourdes Hall Minister of Care at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and as a volunteer at Providence Food Pantry in West Terre Haute, Indiana.

Sister Becky entered the Congregation on August 21, 1976, from St. Anne Parish in Monterey. She professed first vows on July 14, 1979, and perpetual vows on August 19, 1984.

She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Purdue University and a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Loyola University in Chicago.

In Illinois: Teacher, Maternity BVM, Chicago (1976-77); Teacher, Mother Theodore Guerin High School, River Grove (1979-82); Teacher, Guerin College Preparatory High School, River Grove (2004-06).

In Ohio: Associate Director of Vocations, Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Cincinnati (1985-89).

In Missouri: Preparation for Formation Ministry, Aquinas Institute, St. Louis (1989-90).
