The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and others ushered in the holiday season early on Saturday, Dec. 7, as the Congregation presented its annual Christmas Fun at the Woods event. Approximately 800 people attended the event. Activities included crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, wagon rides, a holiday sing-a-long and more. Children had the chance to dress up like angels at the “live” nativity scene and nativity scenes decorated the halls while Father Dan Hopcus’ miniature Christmas village was also on display!
Santa Claus also made an appearance at the North Pole Zone at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice and everyone had an opportunity to meet with the alpacas.

Wish I lived closer . This looks like so much fun. I am sure all who attended have great memories of a special day at the most special place.
Casey,
I am a little disappointed that no one took a picture of “Christmas Stories with Mrs. Claus and the Elf”. S. Patty Wallace and I were even dressed in costumes for it. Also, we had lots of children and besides stories we did the Reindeer Hokey Pokey. Everyone had a good time.
