Providence Spirituality
“The God of Providence carries the entire mystery of the divine, ever trustworthy, never failing. The God of Providence offers all the possibilities for ourselves and the world, including both what God wants to happen and what God is willing to let happen because God honors the gift of human freedom. The choices are ours — truly free, but ever grounded in the grace of God, the Holy Mystery of Providence, about which there is ever more to be discovered.” – Sister Ruth Eileen Dwyer

Being Providence in a world in need: Sister Dawn’s reflection to new Providence Associates
You belong to this community in a special way. And we belong to each other. Together we belong to Providence. Together we are called to be Providence. The world needs us for this. And certainly, in light of all that has happened this week and in the weeks leading up to our national election as well as what may be required of us as a result of this election—our country needs us for this.

Sister has life changing trip to Standing Rock Sioux Nation
Sister of Providence Joni Luna recently traveled from Indiana to stand with the Native Americans keeping vigil of sacred burial ground on the high plains of the Standing Rock Sioux Nation in North Dakota.
They call themselves water protectors not protestors, as they peacefully protest the North Dakota Access pipeline.

Unadorned
My arms are adorned with red and gold jewels that shimmer and dance … with the wind, the rain, the breeze, the birds … I accept the fall winds and let go … let my jewels of leaves fall ……

70 years with Our Lady of Providence
This painting of Our Lady of Providence, Queen of the Home, was hung at the entrance of my home in 1946, when I was 10 years old. The painting greeted each person coming into our home, not only visitors but my parents, younger brother and me. It spoke to all of the loving care of Mary for each one that entered.

Lives of the Saints
He encouraged me to live a life like that of my mother
