Providence Spirituality
“The God of Providence carries the entire mystery of the divine, ever trustworthy, never failing. The God of Providence offers all the possibilities for ourselves and the world, including both what God wants to happen and what God is willing to let happen because God honors the gift of human freedom. The choices are ours — truly free, but ever grounded in the grace of God, the Holy Mystery of Providence, about which there is ever more to be discovered.” – Sister Ruth Eileen Dwyer

The Art of Isolation

and enter into prayer
that moves and lives
and has being in you
for as long as it lasts.

Does it spark joy?

Jason Gretencord: A volunteer with a smile!
'I enjoyed the idea of aiding the mission of the Sisters of Providence, and the people were constantly pleasant.'

Quaran-Teen: prayer and sharing bring hope
I was surprised after just the first night how much of a difference the group prayer made for me. I felt lighter, more hopeful. My emotions didn’t feel so crushing. It was like I had been underwater since the start of the quarantine and the group prayer was the first time I had come up for air.

A Prayer for Arbor Day, April 24, 2020
Continue to encircle us in your divine compassion and love as we seek to walk in your ways

Betsy Frank: Faithful and consistent
"I can't wait to get back to visiting when the current situation improves."

What to pack for the journey
It was a powerful reflection writing what I would take and how I would say goodbye to those I loved.

Comfort from beauty
Also wanting to help others, I searched my soul. Stretching his idea of comfort from music, I thought of other arts: poetry, other writing, painting, and so on. Then it struck me: weaving!
