Being a Sister of Providence is just icing on the cake because our community is vibrant, creative, joy filled and lives a sense of mission that is undaunted.

How is God nudging you in this critical moment to respond?

'My sisters and our associates invigorate me for whatever might lay ahead.'

I found myself more vulnerable, which can be unsettling for sure. But, you see, I never felt alone, which makes all the difference! I felt upheld by all the Sisters of Providence, past and present, who have been down this path. I am still in wonder and filled with gratitude by the fact that they beckon us to follow.

On Tuesday, Dec. 17 the Sisters of Providence celebrated the sisters who had been Sisters of Providence for 75, 70 and 60 years with a special Mass. We are so blessed to have such wise and holy women among us.

Interculturality – What is it? Why has it become a notion central to many conversations in the Providence community? Why is it key as we continue to evolve as religious in the 21st Century?

"Just trust God. God will provide. Even tomorrow what will happen we don’t know. Believe there is God. God doesn’t always give happy feelings. But in the end we are looking to eternal life. Cooperate and trust and believe," advises Sister Delan Ma of Taiwan.

I trust that there will be courageous women and men who will continue to answer the call of Providence to respond with integrity and passion to the most urgent needs in society.
