Biography
Sister Joan Mary Schaefer was born in Cicero, Illinois. Her final ministry was in residential services at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Joan Mary entered the Congregation on July 22, 1948. She professed first and final vows on January 23, 1951 and 1956, respectively.
Of her ministries, Sister Joan Mary served as a teacher, principal, substitute teacher and ministered in home schooling.
Sister Joan Mary enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and loves Notre Dame football. Her favorite music is classical.
