Single women ages 18-42 are invited to pray with the Sisters of Providence by Zoom. Join us from wherever you are on the 7th of each month at 7 p.m. Eastern time for a virtual, live prayer service. Each month’s prayer service will be led by a different Sister of Providence and each will be focused on a different topic. See the schedule below for each month’s details.
Monday, Aug. 7: Sister Barbara Battista will lead prayer on the topic of Peace and Justice
Thursday, Sept. 7: Sister Marilyn Baker will lead prayer on the topic of how we labor
Saturday, Oct. 7: Sister Jeanette Lucinio will lead prayer on the topic of Sisters of Providence Feast Days
Tuesday, Nov. 7: Sister Jane Iannaccone will lead prayer on the topic of Thanksgiving
Thursday, Dec. 7: Sister Donna Butler will lead prayer on the topic of Christmas
Sunday, Jan. 7: Sister Barbara Bluntzer will lead prayer on the topic of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Wednesday, Feb. 7: Sister Evelyn Ovalles on the topic of St. Valentine’s Day
Thursday, March 7: Sister Barbara Sheehan on the topic of Women’s History Month
Sunday, April 7: Sister Patty Wallace on the topic of spring
Tuesday, May 7: Sister Mary Montgomery on the topic of Mary the mother of Jesus

Sister Joni Luna, SP, currently ministers as vocation director for the Sisters of Providence. She is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She entered the Sisters of Providence in 2012 after spending many years as a physical education teacher, athletic director and coach in Texas. In addition to her education degree, Sister Joni has a master's in educational administration and supervision.
