Join us for the upcoming Lunch and Learn: Native and Invasives of Indiana Woods, set for noon-3 p.m., on Saturday, May 9.

The workshop will take place at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and in the wooded areas near the center.

Begin the day with a lunch prepared by Chef Ann Testa featuring seasonal produce found from the gardens of White Violet Center followed by a guided hike with forester Stuart Haney, who will identify the native trees and plants that have been around since Saint Mother Theodore Guerin walked these Woods. In addition, Haney will identify the invasive plants the Sisters of Providence have been working to eliminate.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather.

Cost to attend the workshop is $40. The registration deadline is May 4.
