Teens invited to volunteer with Sisters of Providence in March

Calling all youth! Calling all youth!

Teenagers ages 12-18 are invited to make a difference by volunteering with the Sisters of Providence and health care residents at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.

The next teen volunteer opportunity will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., EDT, on Saturday, March 9. All teen volunteers are invited to assist with our elderly Sisters of Providence and health care residents.

Sister Joni Luna, SP, who coordinates the teen volunteer opportunities, said all young volunteers will have the chance to interact with many Sisters of Providence, Providence Health Care residents and staff.

“This is an opportunity to invite young people to come and share in the works of love, mercy and justice of the Sisters of Providence,” Sister Joni said. “For these young volunteers, it is about sharing who they are – their gifts and talents – with sisters, residents and staff who are welcoming and affirming to them.”

All teens who come to volunteer are asked to meet in the lobby of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center and to wear comfortable shoes and clothes for better mobility. Lunch will be provided.
