Sisters to conduct Volunteer Open House

Do you like to make a difference?

If so, the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, welcome you to join them for a volunteer open house from 9-11 a.m., EDT, on Thursday, May 18, in the Foley Room of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

“The open house is a great opportunity for those who have not yet signed up to volunteer for the sisters to get to know the volunteer opportunities in your backyard while enjoying some coffee, tea and light snacks,” said volunteer services coordinator Sarah Knoblock.

Knoblock said the open house will give those interested in volunteering a chance to learn more about all the different ways they can give back to the Sisters of Providence, including volunteer stints at the White Violet Farm Store, Linden Leaf Gifts, visiting healthcare residents, meeting and greeting guests, working in the gardens at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, researching and writing, and many other one-time events.

“I will be available to answer any questions and help folks apply right there and then. The process is quick and easy,” Knoblock said.
