A Prayer for Teachers during this pandemic

O Wisdom God,

You teach us the ways of truth. Give us who teach the wisdom and knowledge to know how to reach each and every student. Give us an ability to rejoice in successes, both large and small, and to find words of wisdom and encouragement when there are failures.

O Patient God,

You are always with us, encouraging us as we enter the classroom or the zoom-room. Give us an abundance of patience as we learn to juggle our teaching, sanitizing, distancing and masking, while trying to be attentive to the needs of our students. Help us to be patient with ourselves as well.

O Loving God,

You love us beyond measure. Remind us of that love as we look into the eyes of each student before us. Give us a gentle heart, a compassionate heart and a heart open to receive love.

May your wisdom O God be our wisdom, your patience, our patience and your love, our love.

Amen.

Ephesians 3:16-19

I pray that out of God’s glorious riches you may be strengthened with power through the Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

    A prayer for my daughter healing from cancer.
    Continued prayers for our family especially health.
