Welcome to the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind. Whether you are a returning visitor or you’ll be visiting us for the first time, you are welcome to visit our 1,200 beautiful wooded acres, The Linden Leaf Gift Shop, attend Mass (weekday or Sunday), join us for Sunday Brunch at O’Shaughnessy Dining Hall, visit the alpacas, have a picnic on the grass or just stroll the peaceful grounds. Visit for a few hours, a day or longer (housing options are available). The public is welcome! Here are just a few of the enjoyable areas and activities at the Woods:
Take a tour of the sacred grounds, learn about the life and legacy of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and about self-sustainability! Tours can be spiritual and/or educational. This is a great place to spend a day with family, friends or classmates. A tour will be a great opportunity for you to learn about the attractions and sacred places on the grounds.
The “welcome” center for the Sisters of Providence and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. The Providence Spirituality and Conference Center is a great venue for weddings and receptions, business retreats and more. It also includes the Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Shrine and the National Shrine for Our Lady of Providence. You can also be sure to check out the unique souvenirs that the new Linden Leaf Gift Shop has to offer.
