Alumni
In 1841, our Foundress, Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, accepted the first student at the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Academy. For the decades since and still today, our Congregation continues its ministry of education in all its forms. We have deep love for and cherish the relationships we have with our former students. Keep on being sisterly: school children support sisters with cards and money
Several weeks ago we received a large envelope with cards, drawings and notes from the students and staff there. It also included a donation of $674 to support the Sisters of Providence! We are so grateful for the financial and moral support.

The most touching duet was that of Rod and Sister Terese Marie Havlik, Rod’s 8th grade teacher, whom he hadn’t seen in almost 49 years. Sister Terese Marie knew every word, sang and moved gently to the music.
