Biography
Sister Rose Marie, formerly Sister Anthony Marie, was born Rose Marie Thole on Sept. 15, 1937. She died on April 20, 2008. She was 70 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 53 years.
Sister Rose Marie entered the Congregation on Jan. 5, 1955. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1957 and 1962, respectively.
Her first ministry was in the Infirmary before earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She returned to the Woods in 1967 and ministered in the Infirmary for another 10 years. She also ministered as a nurse at hospitals in Illinois, Indiana and California, including the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She returned to the Woods in 1994.
She was known for her affection of coffee.
