Sister Irma, formerly Sister Ann Peter, is a native of Malden, Massachusetts. Currently, she ministers in outreach in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
Sister Irma entered the Congregation on July 21, 1956. She professed final vows on August 15, 1964.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a master’s degree in education from Indiana State University, as well as another master’s degree in social work from Boston University.

Sisters of Providence 60-year Jubilarians Sister Ann Casper, Sister Josephine Paolinelli, Sister Irma Meuse, Sister Mary Ann Fox, Sister Ellen Kehoe, Sister Mary Louise O’Connor, Sister Mary Frances Keusal, Sister Catherine Buster, Sister Maureen Abbott, Sister Joanne Golding and Sister Joan Kirkpatrick were honored on Dec. 8, during the annual Senior Jubilee Celebration. They were joined by the General Council, including Sister Dawn Tomaszewski, Sister Lisa Stallings, Sister Mary Beth Klingel, Sister Jeanne Hagelskamp and Sister Jenny Howard.
