As seen in HOPE:

Caring for Those in Need: Serving God’s Children at the Border
At the Kino Border Initiative, migrants are met with compassion and aid from Catholic sisters and volunteers, including Sister Tracey Horan, SP. They offer not just hot meals and clothing, but also a sense of dignity and hope in a world that has often turned its back on them.

Sisters Speak Out: On the Road with the Sisters of Providence
Nearly 300 women religious, including Sisters of Providence, gathered in Washington, D.C., for “Sisters Speak Out,” a campaign for prayer and advocacy for people on the margins of society.

Docent of the Moment: Sister Barbara Bluntzer and Her Jubilee Year Ministry
Sister Barbara Bluntzer, SP, found her new ministry as a docent at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She now leads visitors, many of whom are pilgrims during this Jubilee year, through significant sites like the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Improvements Abound: Structures Undergoing Facelifts
Improvements are taking place at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.

The Bond of Friendship: ‘Back to School’ Luncheon
Sister Jeanne Hagelskamp, SP, spent time with Sister Janice Ostrowski, SP, and alumni from Guerin College Prep High School.

Annual Meeting: 2025 photo gallery
This summer from June 28 to July 2, Sisters of Providence and Providence Associates from all over the world gathered at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for the 2025 Annual Meeting. Everyone spent time reconnecting, praying and deepening understandings.
Together, we began planning for next year’s Chapter meeting and elections. Guided by Sister Kate DuVal, SSND, who facilitated sessions and conversations, we have set a solid foundation for the direction the Congregation will commit to next summer for the next five years. We are so grateful for the time to grow closer together and to move the Congregation forward.
