At the Kino Border Initiative, migrants are met with compassion and aid from Catholic sisters and volunteers, including Sister Tracey Horan, SP. They offer not just hot meals and clothing, but also a sense of dignity and hope in a world that has often turned its back on them.

Nearly 300 women religious, including Sisters of Providence, gathered in Washington, D.C., for “Sisters Speak Out,” a campaign for prayer and advocacy for people on the margins of society.

Sister Barbara Bluntzer, SP, found her new ministry as a docent at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She now leads visitors, many of whom are pilgrims during this Jubilee year, through significant sites like the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Improvements are taking place at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.

Sister Jeanne Hagelskamp, SP, spent time with Sister Janice Ostrowski, SP, and alumni from Guerin College Prep High School.

This summer from June 28 to July 2, Sisters of Providence and Providence Associates from all over the world gathered at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for the 2025 Annual Meeting. Everyone spent time reconnecting, praying and deepening understandings.
Together, we began planning for next year’s Chapter meeting and elections. Guided by Sister Kate DuVal, SSND, who facilitated sessions and conversations, we have set a solid foundation for the direction the Congregation will commit to next summer for the next five years. We are so grateful for the time to grow closer together and to move the Congregation forward.
