Sisters invite public to Earth Day Festival
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, are inviting the public to join them for their upcoming Earth Day Festival.
The festival will begin at 11 a.m., and conclude at 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 26. It will be hosted by White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence.
Join the Sisters and others to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature of the Woods while enjoying the activities.

Something has been planned for everyone throughout the day, including nature shows, earth-related craft activities for children, spinning, weaving and felting demonstrations and, of course, visits from the alpacas.
Enjoy Moonglade Animal Adventures and their two 45-minute presentations. The organization will also have two education stations.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources “Woods on Wheels” exhibition will also be set up in the parking lot of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center. Indiana forester Stu Haney will also be guiding nature trail walks.
Many exhibits, tours of the organic gardens and horse barns, hayrides and a face painting station will also be offered.
Plan to stop by the White Violet Center Farm Store, where you can purchase seasonal organic produce from the garden, handmade and locally produced items – such as soaps, alpaca fiber goods, wood carvings, pottery – and much more.
Food vendors will be on-hand for snacks, beverages and meals. There will also be live entertainment. Make sure to bring a refillable water bottle to use at the free and eco-friendly water station. In addition, the Sisters of Providence will host a bake sale with homemade baked goods of all kinds.
Admission to the festival is free, but donations would be appreciated.
