Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk scheduled for September 7
Saint Mary’s Village Catholic Parish invites the public to participate in the upcoming “Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk” to take place at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 7, on the grounds of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Providence Food Pantry, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Providence. The pantry has served approximately 5,500 families and 19,000 individuals in the Wabash Valley this year.

Since its inception on Sept. 8, 1994, the pantry has provided more than 13 million meals and has served more than 329,000 individuals in the Wabash Valley.
Registration for the race will begin at 9 a.m., and conclude at 9:45 a.m., with the race beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
Cost to take part in the race is $15, with one T-shirt guaranteed to each pre-registered participant. Early registration must be received by Aug. 26. All T-shirts will be handed out during the event.
Make checks for pre-registration payable to Providence Food Pantry/Hunger Bust, and mail to Providence Food Pantry, 701 W. National Ave., West Terre Haute, IN, 47885.
As an added help to the food pantry, all participants are asked to bring a box of saltine crackers as a donation on the day of the race.
