What would you like from the Sisters of Providence?

Following the footsteps of our foundress Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, whose eye was always on the mission, the Sisters of Providence seek to focus their eyes and hearts on the mission of Providence.

As she responded to the needs of her time — education of women who were being neglected and care of the sick poor — we seek to do the same.
In our time that means finding ways to responsibly continue her mission of being God’s Providence in the world by devoting ourselves to works of love, mercy and justice in service among God’s people. We must support our sisters ministering in various parts of the country and in Asia, and care for our sisters who are ill and retired. We also must tend to the critical infrastructure needs of our buildings and sacred spaces at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, from which we provide spiritual and educational opportunities and enrichment to all who come.

As our benefactor, our volunteer, our friend, you are the reason we can keep our inheritance and our mission alive and strong.

We are asking you today to help us improve how we share information with you. We want to ensure that you are receiving sufficient information about how your financial generosity helps further our mission. Let us know which ministries and sisters you want to hear more about.

Please take a moment to complete the short survey here. You can also respond by calling us at 812-535-2800. Your input is greatly appreciated and we look forward to hearing from you!
