Pray with Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, our friend in heaven

We could all use some prayer support. And we know our Saint Mother Theodore Guerin is close to God. She also loves us and wants to help. So let’s turn to Saint Mother Theodore, a friend and prayer support in heaven, for help in praying for our needs.

Starting Monday, Sept. 24 we will begin praying the Novena to Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, leading up to her feast day on Oct. 3. We invite you to join us.

A novena is nine consecutive days of prayer, often for a specific cause.

Our Mother Theodore knew what it was to struggle in life. She endured death of a sibling and parent, care of a depressed parent, poverty, prejudice, fires, injustices and more. Let us add our prayers for those we love who are struggling with hers in this special novena prayer.

Novena to Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, Day 1

Anne Therese Guerin, Saint Theodora, I call upon you to help me through my present situation. You know how dependent I am on God’s Providence to fill my need.

Out of love and respect for your holiness, as well as my admiration for your strength of character, I ask for your assistance now. You were able to withstand so many difficult situations, yet you relied on God’s endless Providence to meet the needs of you and your community.

Please implore Providence, on my behalf, to remember my needs.
