Tracey Horan begins an exciting new journey with the SPs

Tracey Horan enters the postulancy of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods on Sept. 8, 2014. Sisters welcome her with open hearts and arms during a short ritual filled with prayer, readings and song. She receives a special blessing and receives her keys to her new home in Owens Hall.

Tracey Horan holds up her key to Owens Hall which will be her new home as she begins her journey in formation as a Sister of Providence.

The entrance ritual concludes with hugs all around as the sisters express their joy about Tracey Horan’s entrance into the Sisters of Providence.

Tracey Horan (center) is met by a group of sisters inside Providence Hall. They then proceed to the Providence Hall Parlor for a special blessing.

Tracey Horan knocks on the Providence Hall door, as so many young women have done in the past. The door is answered by Sister Denise Wilkinson, general superior, and many other sisters, who officially “welcome” Tracey.
