Private quiet retreats

Find extended time for prayer, solitude, quiet and peace during a silent retreat. The time throughout the week will be yours to spend in silence in any way that helps foster your sense of spirituality. Stay in one of our hermitages for privacy and silence. You will enjoy nutritious meals and may eat with others or alone. If you choose, you may meet with a spiritual director who will help you reflect on your spiritual journey. For more information or to reserve your retreat, please contact Reservations@spsmw.org or call 812-535-2946. Meals are available for purchase. Spiritual Direction is an extra charge.

Group retreats

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is the perfect setting to host your group retreat, offering a beautiful place to reflect, unwind and renew. We are located just 90 minutes west of Indianapolis and 10 minutes from downtown Terre Haute. Contact us and schedule your own specialty program, retreat, day of reflection or workshop in our state-of-the-art conference and meeting rooms.

Let us come to you

Our retreat, workshop and program staff will work with you in developing a retreat or workshop for your group. Some of the themes/topics from which you may choose include: Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, prayer, contemplative living, forgiveness, grief, Scripture, Vatican Council II, Sacraments, Providence spirituality, eco-justice and spirituality, and more. Or suggest a topic pertinent to your group’s needs.
