Biography
Sister Rose Ann, formerly Sister Francile, was born in 1938 in Vincennes, Indiana. She attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and St. Rose Academy.
Sister Rose Ann graduated from Marian College before entering the Congregation on September 12, 1960. She professed first and final vows on August 15, 1963 and 1968, respectively.
Of her ministries, Sister Rose Ann taught grade school at St. Leonard in West Terre Haute, Indiana, and at St. John the Baptist in Newburgh, Indiana. She also taught at Sacred Heart in Evansville. In 1968, she became principal at St. John and stayed there until 1974. In 1975, she also served as the Congregation’s Director of Postulants and was a member of the General Council. She currently volunteers at Facilities Management at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Sister Rose Ann said she enjoys watching Cubs’ games, “especially when they are winning.” She also tries to keep up with politics, and loves to read mysteries.
