Biography
Sister Patricia Marie was born Marion Gertrude Woods on April 1, 1911. She died on Feb. 27, 2005. She was 93 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 73 years.
Sister Patricia Marie entered the Congregation on Feb. 11, 1932. She professed first vows on Aug. 15, 1934, and final vows on Jan. 23, 1940.
Her teaching ministry began in 1934 at St. Ann, Washington, D.C. She ministered at other schools in Illinois, Massachusetts and Maryland. In 1987, Sister Patricia Marie served as a pastoral associate at St. Joseph Parish, Quincy, Massachusetts. She returned to the Woods in 1997.
She enjoyed visiting the Blessed Sacrament Chapel as often as she could because she had great devotion to the Eucharist.
