Sister Mildred Giesler

Sister Mildred is a native of Jasper, Indiana. Currently, she ministers in prayer at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Sister Mildred, formerly Sister Alma Joseph, entered the Congregation on January 10, 1944. She professed final vows on August 15, 1951.

She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a master’s degree in education from Indiana State University and another master’s degree in religious studies from the University of Seattle.

She has ministered in Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina and Massachusetts, including serving as a teacher at St. Simon School in Indianapolis from 1981 to 1988.
