Biography
Sister Merry was born on Oct. 10, 1942. She died on Feb. 17, 2008. She was 65 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 33 years.
Sister Merry entered the Congregation on Aug. 23, 1974. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1976 and 1984, respectively.
Sister Merry ministered as a counselor and foreign student advisor at Immaculata College beginning in 1976. She also ministered in various capacities in Indiana, including time at Providence Self Sufficiency Ministries and as the director of alternative sentencing in the Floyd County Prosecutor’s Office.
Sister Merry was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, bird watching and traveling.
