Biography
Sister Marijo was born Mary Josephine Lynch on May 12, 1937. She died on April 29, 2007. She was 69 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 51 years.
Sister Marijo entered the Congregation on July 22, 1955. She professed first vows on Jan. 23, 1958, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1963.
Her first teaching ministry was at St. Sylvester, Chicago, in 1958. She taught at other schools in Illinois, as well as schools in California. Sister Marijo also ministered for years at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Academic Services and the WED program. Her final ministry was teaching ESL to adults in California.
Sister Marijo is remembered for being willing to do anything that was needed.
