Biography

Sister Betty, formerly Sister Ann Martin, is a native of Chicago. Currently, she ministers as a volunteer at the Cook County Jail in Chicago.

Sister Betty entered the Congregation on July 22, 1957 and professed final vows on August 15, 1965.

She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also earned a master’s degree in special education – with a concentration in learning disabilities – from Northeastern Illinois University.

She has conducted multiple ministerial educational functions in Chicago.
