Sister Anne, formerly Sister Marie Robert, was born Anna Marie on April 14, 1923. She died on April 16, 2017. She was 94 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 72 years.
Sister Anne entered the Congregation in 1944. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1947 and 1952, respectively.
Sister Anne ministered as a teacher and principal for 22 years in schools in Indiana, Illinois and Massachusetts. She also ministered as a finance officer at Providence High School and as the Congregation’s General Treasurer for 10 years, beginning in 1981.
She was referred to as “The Tall One.”

Several Sisters of Providence celebrated Jubilees in December. They were honored at a celebration with the Sisters of Providence General Council.
