Sister Diane Ris, formerly Sister Martin Therese, was born on July 16, 1932. She died on Feb. 21, 2013. She was 80 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 61 years. Sister Diane entered the Congregation on July 21, 1951. For 20 years, she ministered in primary grades in schools in Indiana and Illinois. She ministered at other schools in Indiana, as well as teaching one year at Providence High School, New Lenox, Illinois. In 1971, Sister Dorothy began a ministry as regional superior of Taiwan. She returned to the United States in 1995 and ministered as a teacher at schools in Illinois before returning to the Woods in 2001. Sister Dorothy was a fluent speaker of the Chinese language....

...in Chula Vista, Calif. Sister Josephine, formerly Sister Joseph Anthony, entered the Congregation on July 22. She professed final vows on August 15, 1963. She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a bachelor’s of science in nursing from St. Xavier University in Chicago and a master’s of science in medical and surgical nursing from the University of Indianapolis. Sister Josephine has ministered as a nurse and supervisor in the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods infirmary....
