The beauty of these Woods: a reflection of God’s presence

God of sacred places and spaces, you have spoiled me with unimaginable beauty
and with undeniable evidence of Your presence in the beauty of these Woods which we call home.

Every time I walk these Woods, I sense your presence with me in a powerful and very real way.
I like to imagine that You have brought me out for a walk so that You can walk these Woods with me,
to play “Tag, you’re it” with me when I most need your energy;
to share your evening words of wisdom I most need to hear,
and to remind me that I am not alone … no, I am very safe in your presence,
for You are right here with me, every step of the way.

Our evening walks together renew and strengthen me for tomorrow.
I pray, Creator God, that through your presence with me I might radiate the beauty of these Woods,
the beauty of Your Love, to those whose path I will cross tomorrow.
