Christmas Prayer

Infant Jesus, born among us as a helpless baby,

… come into our hearts this day and teach us the meaning of simplicity and how dependent we are on others.

… come into our minds this day that we may know truth and better handle the real situations in which we find ourselves.

… come into our spirits and warm them with attitudes of love and caring, thoughtfulness and joy.

God of all gifts, we thank you for the many ways you have blessed us and are grateful for all those who love us. Expand our hearts, minds and spirits to embrace all peoples and all creation. Amen.
