Dear God, come walk with me.
Please walk with me.
Be at my side wherever I go.
You set the pace. (Let it be one I can manage.)
Lead me in the right direction. Show me the way.
And step by step we’ll follow it together.
Be my guide.
Help me to be aware
Of all that lies before, behind and around me.
If I meet with obstacles, help me to sidestep them
And stay on the chosen path.
My Companion God, come walk with me.
Help me move steadily forward
Toward the goals you have set for me
For today, tomorrow and eternity. Amen.
