Environmental Services Aide

The Sisters of Providence are looking for a dedicated Environmental Aide to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a peaceful and supportive community while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and care.

What You’ll Do

As an Environmental Aide, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and comfort in designated areas, with tasks including:

• Cleaning Sister bedrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Transporting and sorting waste, including recycling and hazardous materials.
• Maintaining floors and guest restrooms.
• Assisting with special cleaning needs, including blood spill cleanups.
• Offering occasional personal assistance to Sisters.
• Adapting to departmental needs, including flexible assignments and emergency response.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a team member who:

• Knows how to use cleaning equipment, solutions, and materials.
• Can follow schedules, procedures, and written/verbal instructions in English.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates flexibility in duties.
• Is willing to work weekends occasionally and assist during emergencies.
• Holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Physical & Sensory Requirements

This role involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving furniture and equipment. You’ll also need to handle cleaning solutions safely and respond to emergency situations when required.
