I was raised in Tell City, Indiana.
Where do you live now?
I live in Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.
Schools attended and degrees received:
I attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Notre Dame with a master’s degree.
Jobs and titles you’ve held, dates in those positions:
I taught at St. Jude Elementary School in Indianapolis from 1973-1974. I started working at Powell-Stephenson Lumber in 1974 and ended as President when it closed in 1996. I started working at Associated Door & Plywood Company and ended as Manager and President until it closed in 2002. I currently work for the Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Terre Haute in their development office.
Other board positions/memberships/awards:
I was on the Board of Directors of Indiana Lumber and Building Supply Association and received the President’s Award and the Pence Award. I am currently on the Editorial Board of HOPE Magazine and, of course, I serve as Secretary/Treasurer for the Guerin Outreach Ministries Board of Directors. I have served in various positions in St. Mary’s Village Church Pastoral Council. I was a member of the Terre Haute Deanery Pastoral Council and served as President. I am currently on the Deanery Outreach Commission. I am also a member of Altrusa International of Terre Haute and have served as President.
I enjoy reading, knitting and playing cards.
