Cultivating Hope Weekend or Day Retreat

Are you feeling grief or despair over the state of the world? Are you feeling powerless and wondering what you can do? The Sisters of Providence invite you into our mission to create a more just and hope-filled world.

Join us in an experience of finding hope and your own powerful potential in uncertain times. The weekend or day retreat will provide opportunities for you to cultivate hope through time in nature, creative expression, contemplation, community, sacred spaces, ritual and talks.

Retreat facilitators include Sisters Paula Damiano, Corbin Hannah, Marie McCarthy, Mary Montgomery and Rosemary Schmalz.

The weekend retreat begins at 6 p.m., on Friday, October 18, and concludes at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday, October 20. Attendance at Mass and Sunday lunch is optional.

The day retreat on Saturday will start at 8:30 a.m. and end around 8 p.m.

There are three packages, including:

  • Weekend Package 1: Two nights lodging plus five meals and programming ($300),
  • Weekend Package 2: Commuter for the whole weekend with five meals and programming ($180), and
  • Day Package 3: Saturday only with two meals and programming ($150).

The registration deadline is October 13.

Sister Corbin Hannah, SP

Sister Corbin has a Master’s in Social Work and is currently working on becoming a certified Spiritual Director.  Drawing on eco-spirituality and compassionate communication, Corbin offers a space for connection and healing. Sister Corbin also enjoys cooking, brewing kombucha and and tending to over 60 house plants.
